Rosario Angelo Livatino, born in Canicattì on 3 October 1952, was an Italian lawyer and magistrate, victim of the mafia.
He was assassinated by the Stidda (a Sicilian criminal organization) on September 21, 1990.
Shot dead on a provincial road in Agrigento, he was later beatified by Pope Francis in 2021.
On June 1, 2024 at 10:45 am, at the Opera Prison, an exhibition will be held in honor of his memory, with authoritative contributions from the legal world.
